You see that for all these balanced hands the opponent have little chance to bid: it will be very threatening because you only have a 5-3 fit and the majority of points and yet you  play at the 2 level. Only account the total number of DH points in the line and with a maximum of 26 DH you must abandon all hope of game.

The 2♣ SAUVET is not a new convention, she has 30 years of age! It is very effective especially for the type of previous hands, and whatever the level of the competitors. Playing 2 level while everyone wanders the 3 or 4 level brought us many TOPS.
